Making plans

We got a detailed 14 day forecast and it doesn't give us a definitive answer either way. The weather will remain unstable - partly cloudy, snow showers, moderate winds. There is no perfect window of weather coming, nor is the weather so bad as to be unclimable.

Based on our preparations and physical condition, we've decided to start the 'big push' the day after tomorrow, 2 July. The attached photos were taken on 22 June by Sandy, the day we got our best view of the Mazeno ridge.

Left (west) end: the leftmost lump is what we call 'the dome', we have our highest camp on top of it.

The central section: what is probably Mazeno peak is on the right.

The right (east) end of the ridge &the summit of Nanga Parbat in the furthest distance.

Cathy by the towers - just to prove I really exist and am not just the mystery photographer.
