In our absence Samander returned to basecamp with our newly repaired generator, fresh veggies and a sheep. The Sherpas wouldn't let the cook slaughter the sheep while we were still on the mountain - bad luck - but it was dispatched as soon as we returned and will provide tasty dinners for days to come. (The fridge? A barrel buried in the snow.)
